Mutual Aid Box Alarm System
MABAS
MABAS is currently in partnership with Illinois Emergency Management Agency which has established a statewide, mutual aid response system for fire, EMS, and specialized incident operational teams.
MABAS offers over 100 specialized teams which include hazardous materials, water rescue/recovery, technical rescue, search and rescue, fire investigators, incident management, and mechanics that can be dispatched for support. Overall, MABAS responds to over 800 local extra-alarm incidents annually throughout the 69 Illinois divisions.
As a MABAS member agency, your community has the agreement to secure a predetermined resource, without reservation, to aid a community in need at no cost.
