The East Dundee Firefighters Association, formally known as, East Dundee Volunteer Fire, INC; is a non-profit 501c organization run by all volunteers. The volunteers of this organization are primarily comprised of “off duty” firefighters, retired members, and their families.
The goal of this organization has always been giving back to the community. Our association host fundraising events through meat raffles, auctions, raffle tickets, or carnival events for the community. The money raised goes directly back into the community we serve through our partners with community outreach organizations. An example of this is our association members purchasing Christmas gifts for local families in need. Money raised also aids in the purchase of life-saving equipment for Firefighters to use for the East Dundee Fire Protection District. An example of this is the purchase of a “Lucas Device”, which is an automatic compression device to aid in Advanced Life Support Care. The purchase of this piece of equipment is directly credited to a number of lifesaving actions performed by your firefighter/paramedics.
The East Dundee Firefighters Association also runs the facilities of Max Freeman Memorial Park, referred to as Firemen’s Park. Located at 222 E Third St in East Dundee, this property has hosted events from weddings, family reunions, baseball games, and more. This property is symbolic of our mission, by providing a space for all to enjoy our beautiful community. This property is rented out as another form of raising money for our organization's goals. For more information about renting Firemen’s Park, see our rental information page.
